Fragrance begins in March and it’s the right time to go for a walk in the country in spring, admiring the beauty of flowers. On 29th March, Junior High Department of the east campus organized the spring outing activities in Cultural Expo Park in Taihu County, enabling all teachers and students to appreciate the unique charm of Taihu Cultural Expo Garden with 5,000 years of history.
Teachers and students burst out happy laughter and cheerful voices throughout the journey, taking pictures with joy overflowing. In the scenic spot, brilliant oriental cherries, cyan willows green grass, peaches& apricots impressed all teachers and students, who experienced spring breeze and fragrance all over the sky.
Taihu Cultural Expo Garden, situated in Taihu County, Anhui Province, is a world-renowned palace of art with pilgrimage of the whole world towards Eastern Civilization, which has already been named National Cultural Industries Demonstration Base by the State Ministry of Culture. In the park we have pavilions, terraces& open halls, water flowing beneath a little bridge, stele corridor, stone tablets, culture& major sights, revealing the thoughts of cultural harmony& cultural atmosphere everywhere, which made teachers and students feel the classics with Chinese 5000 years’ history personally on the scene. More noticeably students showcased great interest towards Origin-Tracing Culture Wall, Filial Garden, Dragon World, the World’s Number One Authority: Founder of Taoism in addition to Terra-Cotta Warriors. Students earnestly followed tour guide’s narration and made inquiries from time to time, as if placing themselves into nature. In addition, in the pyrograph pavilion, pyrograph of antique beauty attracted students’ vision and expanded their horizon as well.
Overall, this spring outing not only created extracurricular classrooms with intellectual characteristics & enjoyment for teenagers, but also enhanced their comprehension& devotion towards historic culture and ecological environment, genuinely teaching and learning through lively events!
